The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults is a process through which individuals enter into a journey of increasing their understanding of the Catholic Christian Faith. In this process, the person has the opportunity to choose to formalize that journey and become a full member of the Catholic Faith. There are several "rites" which occur during this journey, i.e. RCIA. Our process at St. Ann Catholic Church currently begins in the fall and builds towards a crescendo on the night before Easter when we welcome new members and they enter into the Catholic Faith by reception of the Sacraments of Initiation. This four-step journey begins with a "Come and See" Inquiry period during which candidates ask questions and learn about the basic beliefs of the Catholic Church.
While the O.C.I.A. is an intense overview of Catholic beliefs and practices, during its opening months candidates are by no means required to make a firm commitment to enter into the Catholic Church. The first step is to help you discern by presenting the Faith to you and helping answer any questions you might have.
If you would like more information about O.C.I.A., please do not hesitate to contact our pastor, Fr. Craig Maxim, or pastoral associate, Pat Centner.
If you feel ready to begin the process, take a few minutes to fill out our
