Baptism

"Baptism is the sacrament that gives our souls the new life of sanctifying grace
by which we become children of God and heirs of heaven."

The name of a saint is given in Baptism in order that the person baptized may imitate his/her virtues and have him/her for a protector.

A Baptism Preparation Class is required if the parents have not previously attended one. Godparents may attend, also, but it is not required. The class takes place quarterly in Parish Hall C, starting at 6:00 p.m. and lasting about an hour and a half. You are encouraged to attend the class before the birth of the child as your schedule is usually more flexible.

Baptisms generally take place on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month following the 10:30 a.m. Mass.

Call the Francee to schedule the class and the Baptism, at 913-660-1184.
