Vocations

Have you ever thought about Priesthood and/or Religious Life?

There are many ways to respond to God's Call in our lives.  Perhaps you may want to talk with someone about the possibilities.  You can speak to our Pastor, Fr. Keith Lunsford about the details of becoming a priest.  You can also look at the Archdiocesan web page for vocations.

Have you thought of Religious Life?
There are many different congregations of religious.  Some are:

            Apostles of the Interior Life
            Benedictine Monks and Sisters
            Bernardine Franciscan Sisters
            Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth
Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia, KS
Sisters of St Joseph of Carondolet
            Little Sisters of the Lamb
            Sister Servants of Mary
            The Ursuline Sisters

Of these, some have their roots here in the Archdiocese, and some are rooted elsewhere.

Each congregation of men or women has a specific "charism" that their particular founder/foundress followed and the group works to nurture the development of that charism through the Mission and Ministry of the group.

Perhaps you might want to speak with someone who is involved in religious life and see if they will share their story of becoming interested/called by God, to the particular congregation of men or women that they have joined.  Click here for the Archdiocesan Religious Vocations page.

If you would like to help promote and support any vocation, please consider joining a local Serra Club.
