The Sacrament of Matrimony celebrated at St. Ann Parish may take place on Friday evenings or Saturday during the day. The earliest a wedding may be scheduled on Saturday is 10:00 AM and the latest is 1:00 PM.
Please contact, Fr. Mitchel Zimmerman, 913-660-1182 or
[email protected] to reserve a date on the parish calendar.
If you are planning to be married elswhere, determine if the priest officiating at the ceremony will complete the necessary paperwork or if you need Fr. Mitchel to do that. If so, contact Fr. Mitchel at least 6 months prior to the proposed wedding date and before taking the Marriage Preparation Classes. If being married in another archdiocese/diocese, it is necessary for the paperwork to go through both before the wedding can take place.
Marriage Preparation Classes are offered at St. Ann Parish for those parishioners preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony. Contact Fr. Mitchel, 913-660-1182, or email [email protected] for more information.
"The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament." - Catechism of the Catholic Church
