The Feast of Christ the King was instituted in 1925 to address growing attitudes of secularism and atheism and to proclaim Christ's kingship forever.

During this year of Eucharistic Revival, and as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and friends I am reminded of the origin of the word “Eucharist.” It comes from the Greek word Eucharistia (εὐχαριστία) meaning "thanksgiving."

In the Offertory, the bread and the wine are usually brought forward in procession along with the monetary gifts of the congregation. The procession of the gifts is an intentional aspect of the Mass.

The St. Ann niche (pictured) and St. Joseph, Sacred Heart and Mary niche located near the Mission Road entrance received a update this past week. The niches were painted a beautiful blue.
